HELPING YOUNG PEOPLE MAKE THE RIGHT START IN THE HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY
The object of the PM Trust is to promote the mental, physical and spiritual wellbeing of young men and women working in the hospitality industry in London by the provision of grants, loans and other financial assistance as the Committee sees fit.
In recent years the Trust has assisted young people with relevant colleges of further education grant schemes to cover the provision of equipment, tuition fees as well as travel expenses.
The name of the charity was changed to the PM Trust from the PM club under the Charity Commission scheme approved 18th December 2002. The area of benefit was increased to cover Greater London not just the "West End" of London.
Management of the Trust is in the hands of a Committee of Management consisting of voluntary members drawn from the hospitality industry and other appropriate professions whose expertise would be of value to the work of the PM Trust. The PM Trust Committee meet two or three times a year although Committee members are in addition actively involved in exploring its future strategy for assisting young people in the hotel and catering industry.
Eligibility for assistance is open to young people between the ages of sixteen and twenty-one years and young people outside that age may be provided with such assistance at the discretion of the Committee of Management.
